ExFest 2026 - UX, Cybersecurity and Shared Responsibility

24 April 2026

Speaking at ExFest 2026

The past few days have been intense in terms of building and preparing new training partnerships, so only now am I returning to ExFest, which took place a week ago.

I had the pleasure and privilege of delivering a talk about the scale of responsibility connected with UX work, especially in products and services people rely on every day. I also joined a panel discussion focused on the relationship between user experience and cybersecurity.

Interestingly, even during such a highly substantive event, bringing together experts from digital products, UX and cybersecurity, it was still possible to hear phrases like:

“UX will design that.”

On one hand, that is progress, because we are no longer talking about UX as “making things look nice.” On the other hand, UX is still often perceived as a single role or person, rather than as a capability embedded within a product team, working alongside product and engineering as an equal partner.

That alone shows how important events like ExFest are today, helping clarify concepts, connect disciplines and move industry thinking forward. My sincere thanks and congratulations to Wojciech Hotówko for the invitation, and above all for the determination and energy required to make such an event happen against all odds.
