VECTOR OPS public alpha is live

The first public alpha of VECTOR OPS is live.
I started the project by asking how an operations coordination system could help an operator understand not only what is happening, but how events in one domain can create consequences elsewhere — and what those consequences mean for the next decision.
Discovery challenged the broadest version of the idea. Mature products already cover substantial parts of situational awareness, coordination, and decision support. That pushed VECTOR OPS toward a more specific interaction and systems question: can cross-domain operational reasoning be made inspectable without making routine work noisy?
The resulting model is:
state → dependency → projected consequence → options → expected effects → operator decision
The public alpha implements that model as working software, not just a set of interface screens. Under the React presentation layer is a deterministic runtime with structured scenario data, explicit dependencies, event and consequence rules, operator actions, state transitions, replay, and an After-Action Report that reconstructs expected and observed effects.
The current release uses a synthetic cascading-infrastructure scenario across power, telecommunications, water, critical services, access constraints, and limited response resources. Synthetic data lets the system behaviour remain deterministic, testable, and publicly demonstrable without requiring access to live infrastructure systems.
The alpha is intentionally bounded: it currently focuses on one operator, one scenario family, and three meaningful decision points. Real operational integrations, live data sources, multi-operator collaboration, and broader scenario coverage are natural expansion areas rather than prerequisites for demonstrating the underlying system model and decision logic.
